About 70 % of the WOOD POINT assortment is veneer plywood that is one of the most demanded wood products for wide application in various industries.
We believe that veneer plywood is the most durable and highest quality reclaimed wood panel product. It is a sheet material consisting of three or more glued veneer sheets obtained by peeling veneer blocks into chips about 1.2–1.5 mm thick. Phenolic resin glue is mainly used for gluing sheets. Veneer layers are placed so that the wood fibres of each layer are perpendicular to each other. Such an arrangement provides strength in all directions and geometrical dimensional stability. Of course, when making plywood that meets special needs or technical characteristics, the fibre can also be in one direction.
The most popular is birch plywood, characterised by excellent mechanical properties and high strength. Our assortment also includes coniferous and exotic wood plywood, such as pine, fir plywood, eucalyptus, poplar, acacia plywood, meranti wood plywood.
According to visual appearance and surface defects, plywood is divided into several grades. This allows you to choose the most appropriate type of plywood application, for example, for surfaces where a perfect visual appearance is required, high-grade plywood will be suitable, and in places where the appearance of the surface is not important, lower-grade plywood will be suitable.
Grade B – top quality sanded plywood, without wood defects. Designed for products with high visual aesthetic requirements
Grade BB – standard grade sanded plywood, with knot repairs. Suitable for wide use in construction, painting or other types of decoration, furniture production.
Grade CP – sanded plywood, with branch repairs, black branches are allowed. Used for surfaces that are not visible from the outside, mostly in construction, packaging and container production.
Grade WG – sanded plywood, with black branches and fallen branches up to 15 mm in diameter. Intended for use on surfaces where the external appearance is not important – in building structures, packaging production.
Grade C – unsanded plywood, with black and fallen branches up to 40 mm in diameter. Suitable for surfaces where external appearance and surface homogeneity are not important – in building constructions, packaging production.
Grade F – laminated plywood, covered on both sides with opaque phenol film 120, 240 g/m2. Laminated plywood has increased moisture resistance. Wide application in construction, mechanical engineering, packaging production.
Grade W – laminated plywood, covered with a phenolic film with a fine mesh texture. Mesh-like relief reduces surface slippage. Wide application in construction, mechanical engineering, packaging production.
Grade WL – laminated plywood, covered with a phenolic film with a rough mesh texture. Mesh-like relief reduces surface slippage. Wide application in construction, mechanical engineering, packaging production.
Grade WT – laminated plywood, covered with printed special surface relief. Wide application in production, construction, mechanical engineering.
